Youth and Family Counselor (Social Worker) - Full Time

Frontenac Youth Services is currently looking for Youth and Family Counselors.  As part of a multi-disciplinary team, these individuals will work with youth and families to promote change and growth within the home, school, and community.  Key responsibilities include assessments; development and implementation of treatment plans; individual, family and group therapy.  The individual will liaise with community social services and must be able to work independently within the framework of a team of treatment professionals.

 

Hours of work would be 37 ½ hours/week.  Some evening work will be required to respond to client needs.

 

Qualifications:

  • MSW or Masters level related degree
  • 3+ years experience with Individual Therapy, Family Therapy and Group Therapy
  • Membership in professional association
  • Experience in the field of mental health intervention and crisis prevention
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s license and good driving record
  • Strong Computer skills
  • Brief Therapy Training is an asset
