Frontenac Youth Services is a non-profit Children Mental Health Centre which has
been providing assistance to emotionally and behaviourally disordered
adolescents and their families within the Durham Region since
1972.
The agency
is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services and
operated by a Board of Directors comprised of community
volunteers.

social and emotional well-being in an environment of dignity, respect and professional

adolescents, their families, the staff and the Board members
are necessary components of the Agency.
Adolescents with their families or on their own have a right to

Frontenac Youth Services has the responsibility to
respond and evolve to meet the needs of its stake-holders.
Frontenac Youth Services must include as its
foundation an emphasis on prevention of emotional or psychological
disturbance.
Our mandate must include strong advocating for
adolescents and their families.
Volunteer Board and staff must work together with
mutual respect, collaboration and consultation honouring their specific
roles and responsibilities.
